Tell us about yourself?

I’m Alice, or commonly known as @alicewottonmakeup online. I’m based on the beautiful Suffolk/ Cambridgeshire border in Newmarket providing brides across the UK and Europe a luxury bridal makeup service. I’m obsessed with making people feel their most beautiful self on their special day.

How long have you been doing makeup?

I’ve been providing my bespoke bridal services for over 6 years, I’ve had the pleasure of being apart of over 600 weddings, as well as educating and empowering numerous clients how to achieve my makeup skill set themselves through my bespoke makeup lessons.

Tell us about your journey so far?

My love for makeup started from the age of 5, I grew up in my mums salon, watching people have their makeup done. I was a self taught artist for a long time, with a pure passion to learn everything about makeup, including makeup for film, TV, and SFX. My first makeup jobs were for SFX events until I discovered the bridal industry and fell in love. I studied at the Cambridge School of Beauty and since won an award with 'LUXElife Magazine' and have had work featured with 'Rock My Wedding', 'Bride & Tonic' and 'Suffolk Bride Magazine'. As a bridal makeup artist I pride myself on offering the modern day bride a seamless, stress free makeup service. From having access to my “Bridal Bible” which includes all my tips and tricks from many years in the wedding industry, to a hassle free, personal and attentive service in which I offer support throughout the build up to my brides special day. I aim to continue to make brides makeup dreams come true

One top tip you would give a bride from a makeup artist?

My number one tip would be to research and find the suppliers that cater to your style. A great example would be “you wouldn’t go to an Italian restaurant and order Japanese food, you would go to the Italian for good Italian food because that’s what they specialise in.” Find a makeup artist that specialises in the style of makeup you are looking for.

What is your favourite makeup look right now?

Im all about those natural, classic and timeless makeup looks but I LOVE to add a subtle nod to current trends to offer a more modern look. At the moment I love to use natural wispy cluster lashes to build up a custom lash look. I always get drawn to the soft neutral eyeshadow tones including Champagne and rose gold. A warm glowing complexion and pretty blush tones are always a firm favourite with my brides.
