We wanted to chat further to our Wedding & Event's Manager, Joely to find out more about her…

Joely is one of our Wedding and Event Managers here at The Granary Estates, she has been in the wedding & events industry for over 5 years with lots of different experience but says there is nothing that beats seeing the couples faces when they walk back down the aisle together as a newlywed couple. When Joely is not at work she likes to travel the world with an Aperol spritz in hand.

What is your favourite thing about your role here at The Granary Estates?

I really enjoy meeting couples for the first time, right from when they arrive for a viewing with us., newly engaged and so full of LOVE.

I also adore guiding our couples through our wonderful venue whilst helping assisting them with how they can envision their day with us here at The Granary Estates. The venue speaks for itself but when I get to show couples around and share my passion for the venue too, it is my favourite thing to do!

What is your favourite part of your job?

The wedding day is my highlight, there is nothing that compares to seeing everyone so happy and full of love!

All of those months spent planning their amazing day with our couples. Right from getting to know them, help to bring their visions to life, with the execution on the day. I feel so privileged to be a part of one of their biggest days in their lives.

What is your favourite part of a wedding day?

The Ceremony…. Seeing the nerves before everyone walks down the Aisle to then the beaming smiles on everyone’s faces when they come around the corner, to then listening to the couple exchanging their vows & wedding rings. It is the biggest honour to witness. This feeling never gets old!

Describe your dream wedding day?

I had my dream wedding day, over 10 years ago now but we had a small intimate day with our 4 children, Our closest family members & our best friends.

We had live music, a BBQ, Beers & Doughnuts. It was perfect & reflected us as a couple to a T! - If we were to do it again I would make sure an Aperol Spritz station was involved.

What is your favourite space at The Granary Estates?

Oh that is easy it has to be our Walkway, The Juxtaposition of the modern glass walkway connecting our two old barns is just *Chefs Kiss* It borders our gorgeous courtyard so even on the most miserable day you feel immersed in the outdoor areas. Along with the fresh and simple look, it allows you to add items which make your theme of your wedding day flow and join the two barns.

What is the most unique thing you have seen happen at an event/wedding at The Granary Estates?

A Rodeo Bull, in the Granary Gardens as a surprise from the Groom to his Wife was so much fun. It added great entertainment for all!

What trends do you think we are going to see coming in 2025?

A Live illustrator. Why not hire a live illustrator, This provides a unique and personal souvenir for everyone to take home and becomes part of the evening or day time entertainment. Whether it’s quick caricatures or elegant line drawings, this adds an artistic flair to your wedding. We have added more information on this in our Unique Wedding Trends Blog.
