NEW SUPPLIER - ALERT
Last year we came across Hannah the owner of Masonic Makeup, her IG was on point and her work looked amazing, we knew it wouldn't be long until Hannah had a booking with us at the barns! She was local to the area and the team in the office were keen to keep their eye on her. Our Event team are always on the lookout for new trendy wedding industry suppliers that we can recommend to our clients and Hannah differently caught our eye. It wasn’t long until we got to meet Hannah and see more and more of her work. we just knew we had to reach out and see if she wanted to work with us.
We asked Hannah some questions to let you get to know her a little better…
How long has Masonic Makeup been going?
Masonic Makeup officially launched in 2022, although the preparation started long before that, with countless hours of practicing and studying in order to gain my official accreditation in Makeup, and the creation of my luxury bridal studio in Littleport, Cambridgeshire.
Tell us about your journey so far?
I started my business because I wanted to use my skills and knowledge to empower other women through makeup. For me, it's not just about how makeup looks, but how it makes you feel. I want every single Masonic Makeup client to feel confident and proud, knowing they look a million dollars all day and night long. There really is nothing I love more than seeing my client’s reaction when they first see their reflection in the mirror and say "Wow! I love it".
Tell us about yourself?
I was born and raised in Cambridge and have two older sisters, which is very handy when I'm looking for makeup models to try out new looks or products. When I'm not at a wedding or in the studio, I can often be found walking my Cockapoo Ralph with a podcast on or, at a bottomless brunch with my besties. A pornstar martini is my go-to cocktail. (YES HANNAH… THE GRANARY GIRLS ARE HERE FOR THIS)
One top tip to give brides to be as a MUA?
Adopt a good skin care routine, and stick to it, particularly on the run up to the big day to try and prevent breakouts. Whilst the odd spot or blemish on the day is completely normal, practicing skincare, and drinking plenty of water will always help to ensure your skin is in the best condition possible, ready to apply your long lasting, glamorous makeup.
What’s your favourite makeup trend you are loving ATM?
Half lashes - They are my absolute favourite particularly if someone is wanting a cat-eye or smokey look. As you don't always need to cut them down, the chances of one of the corners pinging off is so much smaller.
