Tell us a little more about your role and what your favourite thing about your role here at The Granary Estates?

As a Wedding and Events Manager my role consists of a variety of different elements. From conducting viewings when a couple first comes to see the venue all the way through to running the event itself. Within my role, building up a relationship with the couple or client is a very vital part. This is done through planning meetings, meet and greets, show rounds, open days and day to day communication via phone calls and emails.

My favourite thing about my role at the Granary Estates is that I get the opportunity to work at such a beautiful venue everyday and share that beauty with many other people and helping them plan their event in such a beautiful venue becomes a lot easier!

What is your favourite part of a wedding day?

My favourite part of a wedding day is at the end of the evening before I leave and I get to see the couples pure happiness as they take in the whole day that’s just happened, all the serious moments have passed, any stress is gone and they are just happily married and loving life.

Describe your dream wedding day?

My dream wedding would be an intimate setting with just close friends and family. I would want it to involve lots of mine and my partners favourite things to ensure it was very personal to us. One of the main things I would like to be included in the ceremony would be my dog Nala as I would 100% want her in some of the photos. A sweet cart would be a must have for me, have it as a pick and mix station as this is one of my favourite things and I would also love a live band as we both enjoy being immersed in the music.

What is your favourite prop to hire from The Granary Estates?

My favourite prop has to be the confetti cannon, its such a simple item that creates such a great photo/video as well as bringing a brilliant atmosphere to kick off your evening.

What is the most unique thing you have seen happen at an event/wedding at The Granary Estates?

One of the most unique things I have seen at a wedding is the Bride and Groom parties doing an outfit change from their traditional English Wedding Dresses/Suites into African Cultured dresses and shirts. Even though a bride changing her outfit is common, both parties doing a full change into bright vibrant colours was just incredible and to be able to see both sides of their culture was a lovely touch.

What trends do you think we are going to see coming in 2025?

-       Green and White is coming back in again, keeping it traditional but putting their own unique twist on it.

-       Engagement announcements / Hold the date on social media, Tik Tok trends are becoming so popular now that everyone is trying to make it extra special.

-       Mirrors for table plans and welcome signs
